The picture above is the genius board. It is all decked out with the D Major chord. The guitar fretboard is across the bottom. You can see 3 spots where there is a D major chord. Red dots are the note D, Yellow dots are F#, and blue dots A. These are the notes of the D major chord.

Get started practicing 3 minutes a day, and have fun!

Check out the D major chord on the 5th and 7th frets above. Place your index finger on the 5th fret of the E string. Use the pinky and ring finger to play the 2 notes on the 7th fret. Notice that the notes are D, F# and A top to bottom
