These 2 apps make a great team when it comes to making great music fun and easy.
Riffler is what I call a “Generative Learning” app. It generates great music. and it helps you to learn music, of you want to.
If you haven’t heard of Riffler you are in for a treat. It generates guitar riffs on the fly. And they sound really good. There is a whole list of styles to choose from and a bunch of setting that can be tweaked, like key, scale, tempo and much more. Just click “create” and it generates a new original riff based on your settings or choice of preset. What could be easier. You don’t even have to know anything about music to create awesome music.
ZenBeats is a DAW, digital audio workstation
In this video, I demonstrate how to find cool guitar riffs in Riffler and export them as Wav and midi files into Zenbeats. The results are a lot of fun.
WAV files are digital audio and sound just like the Riffler app when imported into ZenBeats. Of course, you can add effects, edit and get creative if you like.
Midi files are note data. You can plug in any software synth, sampler, or even an external synth. The sound possibilities are endless. Even layer different sounds.

Riffler even gives you the guitar TAB for each riff. If you play guitar you can learn the riffs and play along.
