They sound really sweet and warm. Maj7 type chords have a certain sound to them. That is really the most important thing to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emaj7 is NOT the same as E7. Close but not the same, just one note difference. Emaj7 has 4 notes in it. E, G#, B and D#. So I start out with just 3 notes, but them I expand to 4 and more strings to cover all the notes. If you have other musicians to play with, you might not need to play all 4 notes, 3 may be enough. Each group of 3 notes has a certain sound. Sometimes it is written as EM7.
