It will randomly generate a chord progression for you. There are 3 different levels to choose from. Generate one and it gives you some chords. Take listen. Like it great, not so much just click again. It will keep generating chord progressions endlessly. Sooner or later you will get a great one. You can always modify what you get also, or just enter in chords on your own. Take a listen, modify, repeat. The export the results to your favorite DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) for further production.

The Song-O-Matic has 3 categories.

Plain Pop – Very simple and familiar type chord progressions, used in many pop songs.

Justified Jazz – A bit more complicated chord progressions. 7th chords, 9th chords and more. Advance your musical knowledge here. Sound jazzier.

Schoenberg Surprise – Even more complex, more chords in the mix. Great for experimental music. Load one of these progressions up. Change around some of the chords. Great for learning about chord relationships.

There is a lot more you can do with this app. More videos to come on chord progression creation.

Main Chordbot screen

Style Selector

If you came up with a fun chord progression, we would love to hear it.
