So how many places can you play a Dm chord on the guitar fretboard?
You only need 3 notes to create a Dm chord,. Or any minor, major, sus4, diminished or augmented chord.
So there’s at least 12 places to play a triad (3 note chord) just between the open strings and the 12 fret. Beyond the 12th fret everything just repeats. So there is a whole bunch of places to play a Dm or any other chord, depending on how many frets you have on your guitar.
