Caring for someone with Parkinson’s often means keeping track of much more than a medication list.
Caregivers may be watching medication timing, “off” periods, balance and falls, sleep, confusion, hallucinations, appetite, hydration, supplements, changing symptoms, and information coming from several doctors or pharmacies.
Safety PassportRx is a free caregiver-support and medication-safety service offered as a public service by the Graham Johnson Cultural Arts Endowment.
Safety PassportRx helps patients and caregivers bring important information together so they can:
• organize prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, vitamins, herbs, and supplements
• record medication timing and recent changes
• identify possible concerns or patterns worth discussing
• notice changes in balance, movement, sleep, confusion, energy, or daily functioning
• prepare clearer questions for doctors and pharmacists
• create a more understandable picture of what is actually happening at home
Safety PassportRx does not diagnose Parkinson’s, prescribe treatment, or replace a neurologist, doctor, or pharmacist. Its purpose is to help caregivers become better organized, better informed, and better prepared to communicate with the healthcare team.
There is no charge to try the service.
